Quick Little Getaway to Asheville

If you live in/near Atlanta like myself, Asheville is one of those must see cities that you can make a quick weekend trip out of. Only 3ish hours away from Atlanta (straight up I-85) makes the drive easy and short!

A Weekend in Nashville

Nashville is one of my favorite places to be, so making a trip up this past weekend definitely made me a happy, happy girl. Granted, it wasn't the best weekend to go with the SEC championship, the spotty weather, and Daylight Savings but we dealt with all the curve-balls that were thrown and had a trip worth remembering.

First up: the restaurants we visited and you should consider visiting too!

  • Slider House - slider sandwiches of all kinds, and some pretty great parmesan fries and beer specials (not the best beer but sometimes beer is beer at a certain price).
  • Hattie B's Hot Chicken - waited 1 1/2 hours for some of this, and yes...

Atlanta Wall Crawl

There is something about going out and exploring places that you have never been to before. For as long as I can remember, I have loved going on new adventures and visiting new places- it's so igniting!

Ever since moving to Atlanta over a year ago (how?!) I have found a love with the city's wall art. Luckily, Atlanta's art scene has really bloomed & there seems to be new art

New York State of Mind

September has been a very busy month, so much that it's making my head spin. I will not get into all of it, but I do want to share some memories and experiences that I had while visiting New York City this past weekend. It was my first time in the Big Apple, and it was more than I could have even imagined!

Justin and I headed up a week ago today after work. We stayed with some friends in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn who so graciously allowed us to crash with them. They were also great hosts, and were able to show us around!

Dreamy Destination: Visiting the Dominican Republic

Hey y'all! This past week I was able to leave behind work emails, laundry, and Atlanta traffic and jet set off to the Caribbean! My boyfriend and I were invited to a destination wedding in Punta Cana, DR and we thought... "Why not!? Let's go!" (With months of planning/saving that is, we don't have it that good!) Regardless, this was the biggest trip yet for the both of us, and we were happy to be able get those stamps in our passport books.

What to Pack for an All-Inclusive Vacation!

Well, the time has almost come! I will be jet setting to the Caribbean in 4 short days! I have been (mostly mentally up to this point!) preparing myself for the daunting task of packing. I have made countless lists, trips to many, many stores, and constant reminders to the boy about things we need to not forget! This will be my first time leaving the country, so the extra preparation that also comes with that has left me rendered to 'cross my t's and dot my i's' on everything that I do!

Roadtrip to the Carolina Mountains

Hi guys and gals!

It is definitely the "dog days of summer" here in the South, and boy are we feeling it down here. If you are not from the deep South, or have never visited, consider yourself lucky when it comes to the humidity that comes with the heat. You will not only be hot, but you will be covered with sweat less than 5 minutes of being outside (and don't bother fixing your hair!)
