New York State of Mind

September has been a very busy month, so much that it's making my head spin. I will not get into all of it, but I do want to share some memories and experiences that I had while visiting New York City this past weekend. It was my first time in the Big Apple, and it was more than I could have even imagined!

Justin and I headed up a week ago today after work. We stayed with some friends in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn who so graciously allowed us to crash with them. They were also great hosts, and were able to show us around!

Many of my favorite adult beverages are ones with whiskey.

Atlanta Eats - 8 Places You Must Visit

Atlanta obviously has a great skyline, but [almost] more importantly, it has been placed on the map for having some really, really great food.

No matter what you're craving, or where in the city you may be, it shall never be a struggle to find a place that will hit the spot and make that tummy of yours happy.

I have created a list of places in Atlanta that I have visited and fallen in love with, and I think it's time you do, too!

Superica: Tex-Mex On Another Level

Tomorrow will be a week since being back from vacation, which means almost a week of being back in Atlanta where there are endless FOOD options!! Yes, I still have a bucket list of food items (shamefully stored on my work laptop) that gets updated probably too much. Since being home I was able to try out a couple of new restaurants, but the one I visited last night has to be known for anyone who lives in or around Atlanta. Warning: you will need to get down to this place as soon as you can!

Dreamy Destination: Visiting the Dominican Republic

Hey y'all! This past week I was able to leave behind work emails, laundry, and Atlanta traffic and jet set off to the Caribbean! My boyfriend and I were invited to a destination wedding in Punta Cana, DR and we thought... "Why not!? Let's go!" (With months of planning/saving that is, we don't have it that good!) Regardless, this was the biggest trip yet for the both of us, and we were happy to be able get those stamps in our passport books.

What to Pack for an All-Inclusive Vacation!

Well, the time has almost come! I will be jet setting to the Caribbean in 4 short days! I have been (mostly mentally up to this point!) preparing myself for the daunting task of packing. I have made countless lists, trips to many, many stores, and constant reminders to the boy about things we need to not forget! This will be my first time leaving the country, so the extra preparation that also comes with that has left me rendered to 'cross my t's and dot my i's' on everything that I do!

Roadtrip to the Carolina Mountains

Hi guys and gals!

It is definitely the "dog days of summer" here in the South, and boy are we feeling it down here. If you are not from the deep South, or have never visited, consider yourself lucky when it comes to the humidity that comes with the heat. You will not only be hot, but you will be covered with sweat less than 5 minutes of being outside (and don't bother fixing your hair!)

Bestie Box Round Two

Hey dolls!

Today I am posting about this past weekend and the exchange of another round of bestie boxes! It's pretty fitting that today is apparently "National Best Friend Day." (Who comes up with these random days anyway?)

We decided to kick off summer by having this round be summer themed!

Brooke and I got together yesterday, and since we were able to (finally) see each other, we exchanged in person!

Anniversary Celebrations

Hi loves!

I first want to start out by saying Happy Memorial Day! Remember that this day is not about present/former veterans (that day would be Veterans Day!), but instead our great nations late veterans who gave their all. Without them, our nation would not be what it is today. May we never forget!

This past Thursday, May 21st my boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year dating anniversary! Time sure does fly, and we were excited to celebrate

My Best Friend's Wedding

Happy Sunday Funday, everyone!

Before I head off to church, I wanted to share on my friend's wedding from last weekend! I know, I'm pretty late... but time slips away from all of us, right?! This post will be filled with mostly pictures; those will do the talking from this beautiful day! :)

Tiffany and her now husband Dustin were married on Saturday, May 9th in the north Georgia mountains. I am so happy for her and Dustin, and so thankful I got to be a part of their special day. From the scenery, to the weather and decor, everything was

Restaurant Recap: Bangkok & Thyme

Hey gals!
Allow me to tell you a little something about myself right quick: I love food. Yes. All foods. And I am always up for trying new food from different ethnicities. When you get to experience this, it’s almost like getting a small taste of traveling- you learn about another culture, and it makes you appreciate the differences in this world.

Although I say I like all foods, I am also conscious

What I Wore: Bridal Luncheon

I hope you guys had a great weekend! Today I’m posting about my outfit that I wore to my best friend’s bridal luncheon this past Sunday. We had brunch at J. Christopher’s with the Bride, Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom! One of my good friends, who is also in the wedding party, couldn't make it at the last minute. I wish she could have been with all of us!

Recap: Bestie Box

Hey gals!

Today I wanted to post on a newer tradition that one of my best friends and I recently started. Although we have been best friends for 15 years, time has marched on, lives change, and we have created our own lives. (You know, the adult things that happen, post college).
We currently live about 30 miles away from each other; not terrible but not convenient. Plus, she is super busy caring for her baby girl! We have decided

The Birth of My Blog

Hi guys! The day has finally come! I am excitedly acting on a goal of mine and launching my blog!  I know that it seems any and every body has a blog these days, but this has been a long time coming for me.
I have always loved remembering and reflecting back on life events, so I've known for a while that having a place to post about said events would be ideal for me. I cannot wait to share with you guys life events [whether little or small]! I have decided to name my blog 'Peaches and Dreams' for 2 reasons: 1) I am a Georgia Peach, and will probably never live elsewhere. And 2) I am a dreamer. A HUGE daydreamer. Yep, I was (and still am) that person who will start daydreaming at any given moment throughout the day. So, there you have it... the story of how Peaches and Dreams was born.

I have decided to stick with a 'lifestyle' blog theme, which will include posts about travel, food (mostly in the amazing city of Atlanta), friendships, parties, fashion, crafts, and so forth... you know, the things 20-something females are into! Ha!

A brief synopsis about me: Newly claimed health nut (err.. 80% of the time?) + aspiring foodie (I have a 4 page long Word document called "Food Bucket List," not lying). I have been living in Atlanta for almost 4 months, and I've learned and experienced more than I can begin to type. I am in a relationship with the sweetest, most patient guy I have ever met. I am leaving the country for the first time in my life this summer, and (one) of my dream jobs is to be a professional organizer.

Well, I've said enough for today. Make sure to check back reallll soon for a super fun post! And if you have a Bloglovin account, go ahead and click that button to your right. Cheers.

Love to all,
