Before and After: Half Bath Reveal

My husband and I decided to renovate our tiny half bathroom together in our new home. Fortunately our home was move in ready when we purchased it last year, but the powder room didn't receive any love or attention from its last owner. The builder grade pedestal sink and gold mirror were still holding on strong... but such an eye sore! The room is pretty awkward with its layout and angles so we knew we had our work cut out for us. This was the first real project Justin and I worked on together, and since we are both inexperienced DIY/renovators... things got interesting, haha! But.... we made it through to the end and our marriage is still intact.
Take a look at a couple of before photos below, and then to the good stuff.... the pretty reveal!

Rehearsal Dinner Decor: How to Tie in With Your Wedding Theme

For many brides, planning your rehearsal dinner can often go to the wayside in relation to planning your actual wedding (which, yes, is way more important)! Often times, brides are not even thinking about their rehearsal dinner, especially if the groom's parents are hosting. If you have future in-laws who would love your input on the style and vibe you wish to shoot for, I'd suggest taking advantage of it! Tying in your decor with your wedding is not only fun, but it sets the tone for your wedding decor; all the while providing insight on your sense of wedding style.

Quick Little Getaway to Asheville

If you live in/near Atlanta like myself, Asheville is one of those must see cities that you can make a quick weekend trip out of. Only 3ish hours away from Atlanta (straight up I-85) makes the drive easy and short!

#fiancefriday - Our Proposal Story

Hi y'all! I thought it would be a fun idea to start a little series called #fiancefriday, where I will update you on this busy but special season of engagement that Justin and I are in. We have been engaged for 2 weeks today, so this post is dedicated to our proposal story! I'm excited about this post (for obvious reasons) and I hope you enjoy a peek into such an exciting day.

Essentials for a Perfectly Stocked Bar Cart

I can think of a lot of reasons for having a bar cart in your home. They are aesthetically pleasing, handy for grabbing your bar essentials, provide extra storage, can become a creative space, and they provide endless ways to decorate through the seasons.

I'm not sure who isn't aware that velvet is 100% on trend right now. And honestly, I'm loving it so much that I hope it stays in style all winter!

Stocking Stuffers

Stocking Stuffers

Hi gals!

Christmas has been on my mind so much this past week, I am so ready to dive in to the Christmas spirit!

Craft All Day.

If I could craft all day, I would. It's such a hobby + passion of mine that I do not commit enough time to. I have an Etsy page that I manage part time, which has really become an outlet for me to express myself creatively. I wouldn't even say I'm that artistic or a great DIYer, but I still love it and most of the time the passion is there when it comes to creating. So, I'll keep on creating, even if I'm the only one that enjoys it!

Below are some items I've made that are listed on my Etsy page, which you can view here. Eat your heart out!

Summer 2016: Currently Loving....

Hi pretty friends! Today's post is all about a round up of some pretty adorable clothing that I personally believe would be great for summer sixteen! (Drake reference may be intentional)...

All items are linked below as well as a description of each piece! Enjoy!

Summer 2016

Clean + Simple Glazed Chicken and Vegetables

I decided to whip up a super simple chicken and vegetable dish for dinner tonight, and to my taste buds surprise it turned out pretty great. I will admit that I am not a cooking expert by any means, but these past couple of months my cooking skills have definitely improved (patting myself on the back here) and I wanted to share this recipe with you - it turned out to be a nice success (and boyfriend approved!)

A Weekend in Nashville

Nashville is one of my favorite places to be, so making a trip up this past weekend definitely made me a happy, happy girl. Granted, it wasn't the best weekend to go with the SEC championship, the spotty weather, and Daylight Savings but we dealt with all the curve-balls that were thrown and had a trip worth remembering.

First up: the restaurants we visited and you should consider visiting too!

  • Slider House - slider sandwiches of all kinds, and some pretty great parmesan fries and beer specials (not the best beer but sometimes beer is beer at a certain price).
  • Hattie B's Hot Chicken - waited 1 1/2 hours for some of this, and yes...

Atlanta Wall Crawl

There is something about going out and exploring places that you have never been to before. For as long as I can remember, I have loved going on new adventures and visiting new places- it's so igniting!

Ever since moving to Atlanta over a year ago (how?!) I have found a love with the city's wall art. Luckily, Atlanta's art scene has really bloomed & there seems to be new art

Bestie Box Swapping

Hi friends! It's been a long time since I've slipped my toes into blogging. Sadly, I got VERY busy with life and before I knew it, 5 months had passed. I am now back and intend to blog regularly!

Today I'm sharing some Bestie Boxes that I've received and delivered these past couple of months from some pretty amazing ladies.

First up...the Bestie Box I sent to my gal pal in Texas!

New York State of Mind

September has been a very busy month, so much that it's making my head spin. I will not get into all of it, but I do want to share some memories and experiences that I had while visiting New York City this past weekend. It was my first time in the Big Apple, and it was more than I could have even imagined!

Justin and I headed up a week ago today after work. We stayed with some friends in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn who so graciously allowed us to crash with them. They were also great hosts, and were able to show us around!

Atlanta Eats - 8 Places You Must Visit

Atlanta obviously has a great skyline, but [almost] more importantly, it has been placed on the map for having some really, really great food.

No matter what you're craving, or where in the city you may be, it shall never be a struggle to find a place that will hit the spot and make that tummy of yours happy.

I have created a list of places in Atlanta that I have visited and fallen in love with, and I think it's time you do, too!

Superica: Tex-Mex On Another Level

Tomorrow will be a week since being back from vacation, which means almost a week of being back in Atlanta where there are endless FOOD options!! Yes, I still have a bucket list of food items (shamefully stored on my work laptop) that gets updated probably too much. Since being home I was able to try out a couple of new restaurants, but the one I visited last night has to be known for anyone who lives in or around Atlanta. Warning: you will need to get down to this place as soon as you can!

Dreamy Destination: Visiting the Dominican Republic

Hey y'all! This past week I was able to leave behind work emails, laundry, and Atlanta traffic and jet set off to the Caribbean! My boyfriend and I were invited to a destination wedding in Punta Cana, DR and we thought... "Why not!? Let's go!" (With months of planning/saving that is, we don't have it that good!) Regardless, this was the biggest trip yet for the both of us, and we were happy to be able get those stamps in our passport books.

What to Pack for an All-Inclusive Vacation!

Well, the time has almost come! I will be jet setting to the Caribbean in 4 short days! I have been (mostly mentally up to this point!) preparing myself for the daunting task of packing. I have made countless lists, trips to many, many stores, and constant reminders to the boy about things we need to not forget! This will be my first time leaving the country, so the extra preparation that also comes with that has left me rendered to 'cross my t's and dot my i's' on everything that I do!
